A creative mind is very important. Our job is to use our imagination for our client’s needs and that’s our expertise. We bring our client’s dream house, dream office, dream interior to life. Our design is our creative expression, and with creativity, it would be limitless.
Being an interior designer in KL, you must equip yourself with a lot of design-related knowledge information. It’s not enough just having creativity, you need to know how to bring it out functionally. Knowledge and experience can help you better manifest those internal visualisations, from understanding the history, the theory, art science and human psychology with space and more. You can’t stop learning, you have to keep on pushing and be focused.
Through drawing, you are able to freely express your interior design ideas without any restrictions. Drawing is a visual expression, it helps convey what we have in mind to our clients. If it’s a skill you’re still not well-versed with, it’s not too late to start practicing. Start from sketches, perspectives, shadings, colouring. Creativity can be gifted, but can also be nurtured.
Unfortunately, our creative process is easily associated with stress. In reality, one interior project can be 10 times more stressful than what you imagine it to be. Besides being personally liable from the planning to the end product, interior designers also experience lots of stress regarding tight deadlines and schedules.
Which brings us to the fifth point, are you passionate in helping people realise their vision? Are you motivated to create a piece of art for others to live in, work in. With all the stress and hardship that is to come, it is passion that can drive you forward.
These 5 elements come hand in hand and complement each other. At the end of the day, it’s along with determination and perseverance that helps us achieve our goals.
